Recognition and Empowerment
Recognizing and empowering excellent teachers to extend their influence: Through the Golden Apple Academy of Educators and our high-profile Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching, we recognize and reward outstanding teachers. Most importantly, we use their experience as a conduit to elevate the teaching profession. We leverage the talent of these best-in-class teachers to create and strengthen our response to the educational needs of Illinois children.
Recruitment and Preparation
Recruiting and preparing prospective teachers for immediate and enduring success: Through the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois and other initiatives, we identify talented future educators and help them achieve their dreams of teaching. We prepare them for immediate and lasting success in some of the most challenging teaching environments.
Professional Development
Providing professional development resources for positive change: Through focused in-person workshops, seminars and our online Teaching Excellence Network (TEN), Golden Apple fosters high achievement and community among education professionals.
