Marshall Rosenthal joined Golden Apple in September 2001. He is the former director of communications of Evanston/Skokie School District 65 and served as public information officer and communications division manager of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs in the Edgar Administration. A former Chicago journalist, Rosenthal was a news producer and writer at NBC Channel 5 News and CBS Channel 2 News, where he was awarded two Emmys for his news work, a reporter for the Chicago Daily News, a correspondent for Rolling Stone, a columnist for the Chicago Reader, and an editor and columnist for The Chicagoan magazine. He earned a bachelor's degree in commerce at DePaul University and an MBA at Michigan State University.
