This month’s Best Practice is another column helpful to all administrators and teachers who are developing websites for their schools and classrooms.
My name is Monique Hickman, and I am currently entering my second year as a high school English teacher. I developed this site during my first year of teaching at Proviso West High School and I have been using it ever since. I find it easy to upload handouts, power points, and project assignments to my website. The website also helps my students who may be on home-bound continue to excel in class as well as keeping parents informed about what is occurring in the classroom. I also use my website as a platform to encourage and congratulate students who are striving toward academic success. I continually update the site to fit the curriculum of my current students. Hope you enjoy the site.
